Wonderful Winter Weekend At Tamarack Resort In Idaho

Looking for a wonderful winter weekend getaway? I’ve got the perfect place for you! I recently had the opportunity to spend a wonderful winter weekend at Tamarack Resort in Idaho and it was one for the books. I traveled with my husband, best friend Brandi, and her husband Matt. We wanted to sneak away from the hustle and bustle of Boise, Idaho, and retreat to the mountains. We are both super active couples and brought everything for a weekend filled with good food, delicious drinks, hitting the slopes, and resting at the luxury spa.

One of the things I love about Tamarack Resort is they offer 56 runs and 7 lifts to be able to make your way around the mountain. They have slopes for any variety of skiing or snowboarding. Truly a mountain resort that was made for the whole family to have fun and enjoy. The views from the top on a clear, sunny, bluebird day are hard to beat. There is something about looking out of a mountain and seeing an incredible lake that just makes my heart beat fast and my eyes widen. Honestly one of my favorite places to ski and why I think this place is perfect for a wonderful winter weekend away!

Let’s Talk Food And Drink At Tamarack Resort

I am a full-time foodie and making sure there is good food and drinks in the itinerary is a must for me. Luckily, Tamarack has a full line-up of delicious places to eat, drink, and enjoy right in The Village. I was blown away by the options they had and all so easily accessible from the ski slopes! We had the opportunity to pop into their brand-new mid-mountain lodge while skiing and WOW they nailed this new spot. The lodge is gorgeous with all the exposed wood and windows. Really spacious on the inside with so many amazing options to choose from. I love that they have a full bar to enjoy a well-made drink and sit out in their chairs to soak in the sun and epic views.

They also have a variety of choices for food and beverages. We tried their ramen, brat with french fries, mac and cheese, and soup. We also found a great selection of hop water and NA beers to enjoy before heading back out on the slopes. Tamarack did such an incredible job with this new lodge, it definitely won our hearts over and helped create a wonderful winter weekend getaway at Tamarack.

– Seven Devil’s Taphouse – Specialty cocktails, brews, and fresh food here!

With a brand new menu by Chef Steven Topple, Seven Devil’s Taphouse will for sure wow your tastebuds. We popped in after a full day of skiing for a little apres ski fun and food. They had live music playing and it was a total vibe at the bar. We had heard great things about the chicken wings and each grabbed a different drink. I love a great whiskey with fresh lemon juice and honey on the rocks. Brandi had a Mexican mule, Matt grabbed a great beer from the tap wall, and Tobi had an NA Athleta beer. The wings came out piping hot and full of flavor, the drinks quenched our thirst, and we found ourselves singing along to the music the DJ put on. A great way to wrap up a day on the mountain.

The Reserve is a step into an upscale, beautifully designed restaurant in The Village. The ambiance and overall vibe at The Reserve will keep you coming back for more. Luckily I have friends who love food as much as I do. We were able to pick a large amount of food to sample. There was nothing that we ordered that we did not like. We started with amazing appetizers, fresh salads, pasta, steak, and perfectly seared fish. I have to admit my mouth is watering just thinking about these items as I am typing. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves at The Reserve and can’t wait to go back. The perfect way to refuel and be ready to hit the slopes. The perfect way to enjoy all this winter wonderland has to offer.

– Clearwater Coffee Co – Just because you’re away from the “daily grind.” That Doesn’t mean you have to give up your daily grind. Clearwater Coffee Company is your go-to place to start your day or grab that mid-afternoon pick-me-up.

This warm, inviting atmosphere, features premium DOMA coffee, locally-made baked goods, sandwiches, and free-range wi-fi. Making Clearwater Coffee a great place to touch base and recharge before setting off on your next adventure.

Tamarack has been one of my favorite resorts to visit for some time now. They barely ever have lines to hop on a lift. The slopes are groomed to perfection. They offer some of the longest ski runs in Idaho. If you haven’t checked out Tamarack Resort, I highly recommend you book a wonderful winter weekend getaway ASAP!

THE FERN & FEATHER BAR – Located on the first floor of the Lodge at Osprey Meadows. The Fern & Feather Bar is the perfect place to relax and unwind with a fantastic view of the Osprey Meadows Golf Course. The bar is serving up canned beer, wine, and cocktails with limited food offerings
BUMPS & BREWS BEER BAR – Bumps and Brews is located inside the Rendezvous food hall. Stop in after a day on the mountain and choose from multiple taps featuring regional brews and ciders. This is the best place to kick off your snow gear and unwind before you start it all over again.
EL PUEBLO TAQUERIA – As the name suggests, tacos are our jam, but we offer a variety of other fresh Mexican options too. Sink your teeth into bold, flavorful combinations of marinated meats, cheese, sauces, and fresh grilled vegetables. Crunchy or soft, spicy or mild, every dish is served hot, fresh, and delicioso. The Taqueria also offers outstanding margaritas and Mexican beers.

Each property also comes with a wonderful hot tub making it the best place to warm up and soak your tired muscles after a day out skiing, snowboarding, or just exploring the winter wonderland. Many of the properties are dog-friendly making it the best opportunity to bring your furry friend with you. I don’t know about you but I love bringing my dog with me on trips. This is a bonus to be able to bring him along to enjoy all these luxury homes have to offer.
