Are you a dip type of person? Love a good salsa? Queso? Just love something that gives an extra creaminess & kick to each bite? Well, you have found it! You have arrived at the best Hummus Recipe! This Tasty Thai Hummus in my opinion checks every box for a dip that keeps you coming back for more!

This hummus recipe has become a quick favorite because I also share a love for Thai food. For that reason, it might be one of my go-to’s for take-out every couple of weeks! Mmmm Mmmm. Ok, let’s get back to this Tasty Thai Hummus, this does have a little bit of a kick so if you are a bit on the sensitive side I would recommend less Sriracha. It’s been tested and I don’t think it took too much away from the flavor with decreasing the spice! I have tried this hummus in every way you could….. chips, crudites, on a sandwich, tacos, and of course with just a swipe of my finger. I tell you what you don’t need much to accompany this Tasty Thai Hummus!

Hummus Recipe

  • 1 – (15 oz) Can Chickpeas
  • 1/2 cup Chopped Cilantro
  • 2 Tbsp Olive Oil Extra Virgin
  • Garlic – 1 Tbsp minced
  • Ginger – 1 tsp minced
  • 1 Tbsp Peanuts (salted or unsalted work)
  • 1 tsp Curry powder
  • 2 Green Onions (diced & use whole onion)
  • 2 Limes (juiced)
  • 1 Tbsp Sriracha
  • 2-3 Cracks Sea Salt
  • Optional Garnishing Ingredients
  • 2 Tbsp Chopped Cilantro
  • 1.5 Tbsp Chopped Green Onions
  • 1 Tbsp Chopped Peanuts

Whipping Up the Hummus

Place all ingredients in Cuisinart Food Processor or any other kind of blender ( Blendtec, Nutribullet )and blend for 2-3 minutes. I like creamy, smooth hummus but if you tend to like more texture, just blend for a shorter amount of time. This recipe is really easy to chop the ingredients and throw them in the blender and within minutes you have an incredible dip.

You also have the option to put a lovely garnish on top to add to the look and appeal of this hummus recipe. I always like to select a couple of main ingredients and place them on top to showcase what’s inside the dip. For this Tasty Thai Hummus, I used peanuts, cilantro, and green onions to garnish one side of the bowl with a little drizzle of olive oil. Feel free to test out other garnishing options, I don’t think you can go wrong with this dip!
