I have a sweet spot for stacked high, full of flavor nachos, and that is why I created these Smoky Sweet Potato Nachos. There is something so delicious and wonderful about crispy chips, fresh salsa, sour cream, guacamole, cheese & don’t forget the jalapenos.
These nachos have become a favorite of mine and are on the repeat weekly at my house and on my meal plan. They are so simple to make and even easier to consume. The different flavors and textures coming together make these the ultimate snack, even dinner if you just wanted a big plate of nachos!
I think the subtle sweetness from the sweet potatoes paired with the smokiness that comes from the Traeger just sets these nachos over the top. The crisp edges that scoop up all the toppings make each bite that much better.

Nacho Ingredients
- 3 large Sweet potatoes, peeled and sliced thinly.
- 2 Tbs Avocado Oil
- 1 tsp minced garlic
- 1/2 tsp smoked paprika & 1/2 tsp Cumin ( I used Watkins for both)
- Peel and slice sweet potatoes and place in large bowl. Drizzle with avocado oil & sprinkle all seasonings and then stir to evenly coat. Place on a parchment paper lined sheet pan.

Cooking Instructions
- Preheat Traeger to 350
- Place sheet pan lined with parchment paper and sweet potatoes in.
- Cook for 40 min to ensure a bit of crispiness with each piece but you can decide if you want soft or crisp potatoes & this will determine your cooking time. Be sure to keep an eye on them so they don’t burn.
- Remove potatoes from Traeger and this is the fun part to decide on your toppings!
