This has been the little voice in my head since I first saw the incredible quote by @jamievaron

The words stopped me in my track. Giving me a reason to pause, to take inventory of my actions, my habits & what I was giving my time to. It has been my sounding board over the last couple weeks of what I decide to fill my time with.
.
.
It made me become present to the life I was actively creating each day & really be clear if it was filled with the things that mattered most to me.
.
.
It made me question…..⁉️
.
👉🏻 Was I giving myself the space to rest so that I could show up as my best self, my true self.
.
👉🏻 Was I saying YES, because I really wanted to do something or was FOMO having a hand at play?
.
👉🏻 Was I building a life that I truly wanted or was I playing into what society makes us believe we *need to be successful?
.
👉🏻 Was I missing out on special opportunities with my husband because I always had a *To Do List that felt like it needed to be checked off?
.
.
At times we can get caught up in the hustle of life & start cruising on autopilot. Let’s take a moment today to check in & shift gears to what truly matters to you. To get back in the drivers seat of your own life. To make sure you are saying YES to the things that light you up, that fill you up. The things when you look back in 5, 10, 15 years, they will be the memories you cherish.

Yesterday we snuck up to Bogus to get a little retreat from the triple digit temps. It was one of those soul healing hikes. The views were breathtaking, we got caught in a couple rain storms that refreshed us & we stayed until the stars came out.
.
.
This last week has been a reminder of all the ways and reasons why I love Boise!
.
.
The community, the beauty, the access to the great outdoors, the freedom I feel in my business, myself, and the quality of life I’m living here. Boise is such a special place & I continue to find more reasons to love it each and every day.

A night to remember ✨

I had the pleasure of attending the Parliament Project created by the one and only founder of @skinowl & host behind @offtherecordwithyou, Annie.
.
.
This event was like a breath of fresh air. A reminder of the love, kindness, and goodness that is within our community. An opportunity to be inspired, amazed, and in awe of the incredible women who are doing the work, and doing it well. The ones brave enough to chase after their dreams even when the going gets tough.
.
.
This special space that was created allowed for each one of us to show up, as we are, in all our glory & truly be seen. To be reminded of what a gift it is to really listen & the opportunity to truly be heard. It is a lost art in the world today but something each one of us needs to thrive and feel alive.
.
.
I can tell you this.... never have I felt so seen, so heard, so held in my life.
.
.
I left the evening feeling nourished not only by the food but by each woman who held space in each moment & the healing that it created.
.
.
I am so grateful I had the opportunity to experience the Parliament Project & thankful that Annie decided to put down roots in Boise. What a gift she is to this community.
.
.

What a weekend! . . Snuck away to Utah to have so

What a weekend!

Snuck away to Utah to have some fun with family! We had gorgeous weather every day and made the most of it! We golfed, made charcuterie plates, zipped around on fat bikes, hiked in the hills, watched the sunsets & enjoyed the fire pit for some s’more making!
.
.
It was so nice to disconnect and just be with family. To have the time to really enjoy the day and company that surrounded us. It was just what we were needing and more! Thankful for those who have come before us & made sacrifices to have the freedoms we do today. Grateful for the life we get to live each and every day.
.

How was your Memorial Day Weekend? What did you get up to?

Ok, first I have to apologize.

I have to apologize because yesterday I was cleaning out my pantry and found a jar of pumpkin curry from Trader Joe’s & 💯 sure it’s a seasonal fall item.
.
.
That being said, save this, bookmark it & get ready to grab as many jars as you can this fall because this pumpkin curry is phenomenal!!!!
.
.
This might be the easiest & tastiest dinner ever. I made some white rice & threw the book choy, asparagus & shrimp on the bbq. Once the shrimp were done I poured the pumpkin curry in a pot, added the shrimp & dinner was ready!
.
.
I seriously love meals that come together in 20 minutes or less. I topped my curry with the Trader Joe’s Thai curry cashews, a couple shakes of everything but the bagel seasoning & fresh basil from my garden.
.
.
Hands down the best flavor combo ever. There were no leftovers left from this meal between my husband and I. I’m pretty sure he was licking the remaining sauce from the pot before it was washed. Yep, the pumpkin curry is a must have.
.
.
Set your clocks and be on the lookout for this to hit the shelves again hopefully in the fall.
.
.
My apologies again, this was just too good not to share. And, hey .... you never know who else has a jar sitting in their pantry too!

As the spring has been rolling out in Boise, I have made a habit of taking Fin out midday for a work break. A break to stretch my legs and pop some headphones in to get my daily dose of inspiration from a new podcast. I had the pleasure of listening to a local gem Annie of @skinowl on her podcast @offtherecordwithyou . This episode was about the hustle, the busyness, the over productivity that we are all finding ourselves in. The need to push ourselves to the max, to “keep up with the Joneses”, to do all the things & to do them well.
.
This podcast episode really got me thinking of how we tend to get stuck on autopilot, to be going through the motions without anyone at the wheel.
.
As things open back up, I want to be intentional with what I say yes to. To make room for the small things, the moments that might seem insignificant yet create memories that last a lifetime. To schedule time to just BE. To get quiet, to tune in to what I am wanting in that moment, on that day and in my life.
.
Ways to slow down & be more intentional.
.
⏱ Don’t overbook yourself. Take time to decide what you really want on your calendar. Don’t give an immediate yes as soon as an invitation comes your way. Give yourself space to check in.
.
🧘🏻‍♀️ Spend 1 minute, 10 minutes or an hour if you have it to meditate. This is about getting quiet. Making room to hear your breath, to slow down enough to tune in to yourself.
.
🌳 Get out in nature. Take your shoes off and feel the grass under your feet. Sit by a river and listen to the water. Nature is so healing & helps clear out the gunk and have us feeling more grounded.
.
🙅🏻‍♀️ Do nothing. Go outside and lay in your backyard and watch the clouds go by. Lay in bed in the morning to listen to the birds sing. Sit on your patio sipping your favorite drink & watching the day go by.
.
📲 Disconnect more. Put your phone down, stop the mindless scroll. Create boundaries around devices. Being so connected all the time creates a feeling of needing more, being behind, comparing, all the things.
