Looking for a delicious treat that you & your kids can reach for as the temperatures rise? Grabbed these nut butter stuffed chocolate-dipped bananas! They are so full of flavor, texture, and nutrients that you can feel good about enjoying them!

These banana bites are so easy to make and are a lot of fun to make with kids. I personally have tried them with all the different nut butters, peanut, almond, cashew, and pecan. Each nut butter added a different flavor and texture. I’d recommend trying all of them so you too, can find your favorite.
I’ve tried different percentages of chocolate for dipping as well. I am the darker the better kind of chocolate lover but know that not everyone is. I made it with 72% chocolate to meet the dark chocolate and milk chocolate lovers in the middle.
Let’s get to the good part of making these stuffed chocolate banana bites.
Banana Bite Ingredients
- 6 Bananas
- 1 jar nut butter of choice (peanut, almond, cashew, pecan, etc)
- 1 large bar chocolate ( dark, milk, white)
Banana Bite Toppings

- Cinnamon
- Chia Seeds
- Hemp Seeds
- Toasted Nuts
- Mini Chocolate Chips
- Cacao Nibs
- Sprinkles
Instructions
- You will slice the bananas in equal slices and try to pair them accordingly. I lined the bananas up on a large cutting board, ready for nut butter and chocolate.
- I used a bain-marie for this recipe. Which is when you place a bowl over a pot of boiling water to melt your chocolate. This ensures that you don’t burn the chocolate and it can slowly, evenly, melt. Once the chocolate has melted turn the heat off and allow the steam to keep it warm.
- I placed a sheet pan on the counter right next to the pot of chocolate on the stove. Place a cooling rack down on the sheet pan and a piece of parchment paper on top. I felt that this allowed the bananas to be cooling with the rack below. The parchment paper kept it from sticking.
- Place 1/2 tsp of nut butter on one-half of the banana slices. Then top with the second slice of banana, making a sandwich. Press down gently to have the nut butter press to the sides of the banana. Once pressed, you are ready to dip in chocolate.
- The bananas can be a bit slippery so you can use a fork or spoon to get them dipped. I dipped 1/2 of the banana bites, but you can fully submerge yours or only do the bottom. The options are endless and these are your tasty treats, so anything goes!
- Once you dunk your banana bite, take it out of the chocolate and place on parchment paper. You can sprinkle toppings on here or roll them in toppings on the way over to the parchment paper. You will let them sit here until you are finished with all of your banana bites.
- Once you are finished, you will place the whole pan into your freezer for a couple of hours. After the bananas are fully frozen, place them into a freezer-safe Tupperware for safekeeping and happy snacking!
