I have to admit something! There was a time in my life when I hated Brussels Sprouts, like would gag when I tried to eat them. Well, those days are gone and I believe this Honey Balsamic Smoked Brussels Sprouts recipe would change any brussels hater into a lover. The balsamic and honey bring together such a great flavor paired with the roasted brussels.
This is such a simple recipe to throw together to spice up your plate. It really will become a favorite and has been known to be a crowd favorite.
Honey Balsamic Smoked Brussels Recipe
- 2 lbs Organic Brussels Sprouts
- 1 Tb Minced Garlic
- 1 Cup Organic Balsamic Vinegar
- 2 large Tbsp Hot Eric or sub organic honey
- 1 Tb Dijon Mustard ( whole mustard seed, I used Trader Joe’s)
- 2 Tb Extra Virgin Olive Oil
- A couple cracks black pepper and sea salt
- Optional ** Red Pepper Flakes

Honey Balsamic Smoked Brussels Sprouts Instructions
- Slice bottom of Brussels off and then cut in half, place in a bowl.
- In a small pan combine all other ingredients except salt and pepper and heat only until honey has melted.
- Pour over Brussels Sprouts and toss, allowing to sit for 5 minutes stirring occasionally to evenly coat.
- Using a slotted spoon, scoop the brussels sprouts on to baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Give a couple good cracks of black pepper and sea salt.
- Save the extra dressing, it is too good to throw out. I used it to drizzle a bit more on the cooked brussels and also on salads for the days following making this recipe.
Cooking Instructions
- Heat Traeger to 375, once heated, place baking sheet in the center and let the brussels sprouts smoke starting at 20 minutes. Check depending on size of brussels sprouts , they might be done. My Brussel Sprouts were a bit bigger so I kept my eye on them and removed them at 30 minutes. The amount of time you leave your brussels sprouts on the smoker is personal preference and how crispy you like your brussels sprouts to be. You will have some crisping of the balsamic glaze left on the sheet pan. No worries, this might be one of the yummiest parts to flake off and enjoy with the brussels.
- You can also make this recipe even if you don’t have a smoker. Heat oven to 375 and follow the same directions.
