These baked hot honey brie phyllo bites are little cups of deliciousness! The flavor combo that comes together is insane! The crispy phyllo, ripe fig, creamy brie and the spice of red pepper flakes and hot honey. YUM! This recipe comes together quickly. They can be made for a simple snack, entertaining or an appetizer to start a fabulous meal.
I wanted to really get the crispiness in each bite so I chose to use six sheets of phyllo dough. Phyllo is super easy to work with and is made up of simple ingredients. This allows for the filling to be the center of attention.
BAKED HOT HONEY BRIE PHYLLO BITE INGREDIENTS
- 6 sheets Phyllo Dough ( I used Fillo Factory)
- 12 Figs
- 1 large slice Triple Cream Brie
- Red Pepper Flakes
- 1 sprig Sage
- 1 bottle Mike’s Hot Honey
PHYLLO BITE DIRECTIONS
- Preheat oven to 350. On a flat surface, lay the 6 sheets of phyllo down. Then using a sharp knife or pizza cutter wheel, cut the sheets in 12 squares. I used a large muffin tin for this recipe to allow for the phyllo cups to be open.
- Slice the top of the fig off and then cut a large X on the top. Place each fig in the phyllo cups. Stuff a slice of brie inside each fig followed by a shake of red pepper. Sprinkle with a bit of sage & drizzle of hot honey.
- Place in the oven and let bake for 10-15 minutes. Watching to make sure the edges don’t burn but the brie is melted and bubbling hot.
- Remove from the oven and place on a serving plate and you are good to enjoy!
