Are you a fig lover like I am? Figs are one of my favorite things so when I got my hands on some, I knew exactly what I was going to make. This 5 ingredients prosciutto-wrapped smoked fig recipe is easy, yet packs so much flavor in every bite. The smokiness paired with the spicy, but also sweet goat cheese and salty prosciutto-wrapped is a combo that is hard to beat.
I know not everyone is a goat cheese lover, but I definitely am. With this red pepper, honey and herb combination, it makes it hard not to love the creamy goat cheese stuffed in each fig.

I wanted to keep this recipe simple and easy so that anyone can enjoy these prosciutto-wrapped, bites of deliciousness. I have been using my Traeger even more lately since our temps are rising and it gives a great excuse to not turn on the oven inside. If you don’t have a Traeger you can also pop these in the grill or use your oven to roast them as well. The added smokiness won’t be cooked in but you will still enjoy the goodness in every bite.
Let’s chat about the simple ingredients and how you can build these prosciutto-wrapped figs, aka ….bites of heaven.

Stuffed Fig Ingredients
- 8 figs
- 5 oz. log of herb goat cheese
- 1 tsp red pepper flakes
- 1 Tbsp honey ( I locally sourced mine from McIntyre Pastures)
- Package of prosciutto
Stuffed Fig Directions
- Preheat Traeger / smoker to 350
- Wash and slice an X through the fig only to about the middle. You want to be able to open the fig up to pipe in the goat cheese but want the sides to hold up.
- In a bowl mix the goat cheese, red pepper flakes and honey together. You can use a piping bag or a plastic bag and cut the corner to pipe the creamy cheese into each fig.

- Take one slice of prosciutto and place on cutting board. Fold the prosciutto in half, long ways to make a skinny strip. Roll the fig in the prosciutto. I was able to just squeeze the end and it stayed. If you are having issues with the prosciutto staying, you can place a toothpick through the fig to keep the prosciutto on.
- Place all the figs in a baking pan, or baking sheet and place in the Traeger, grill or oven, whatever you are using.
- Let figs cook for 10-12 minutes until the prosciutto has crisped, the goat cheese is hot and busting at the seams.
- The prosciutto-wrapped figs are ready to go and by the time you have them on your plate they will be cool enough to enjoy.
